Programme: 9.30 am - 6.00 pm - Presentation of manufacturers and salt distributors trade stands, salt brine spas, salt stall shop (so called “jatka solna”), tavern, outdoor exhibitions (crafts, evaporated salt manufacturing), “descent with the rope”, educational workshops for children, visit the permanent exhibition in the Saltworks Castle 10.00 am - 4.00 pm - Salt cinema and “Salt of the shops of the world” - a mini-exhibition of showpieces from the private collection (South Building) 12.00 am and 2.30 pm - visit the exhibition “Inhabitants of Wieliczka in the past years” (The Middle Castle) 10.10 am - march of the Brass Orchestra of the Wieliczka Salt Mine (planned route: Daniłowicz Shaft - John Paul II Avenue - Saltworks Castle) 10.50 am - the official event launch made by the Director of the Museum of Krakow Salt Mine - Prof. Dr. Antoni Jodłowski 11.00 am – “Quarrels about the store in Auschwitz” - (historical production) 11.20 am - the Brass Orchestra of the Wieliczka Salt Mine plays the music At noon – “A Salty Assault” - (a talk arranged at the evaporated salt manufacturing stand) 12.10 pm – “Basket of salt” - the presentation of manufacturing and trade companies, treatment centres, and lottery (available for adults only) 12.30 pm and 3.00 pm - excursion through the past mine shafts path 12.30 pm - From the salt... “Oświęcim - City of Peace”. Featuring: Orchestra of the Salesian School in Oświęcim, Song and Dance Ensemble Hajduki, Vocal Group “Wariant M”, Modern Dance Group “Contra”, Karate Club of Oświęcim, Cheerleader Group “SHAKE” (show prepared by the City of Oświęcim and Oświęcim Cultural Centre) 2.30 pm - Competition: Proverbs! 3.00 pm - Students of the 1st Grade Music School in Wieliczka play the music 3.30 pm - Competition: Racing of Salt Hamals (so called “Nosicze”) 4.00 pm – “The Charm of Africa” - a meeting with Mr. Jan Szado, including presentation of photos made during travel arranged to places of salt manufacturing in Africa (South Building) 4.00 pm – “You can breathe easier and deeper here” - a practical respiration classes conducted by respiratory therapist from the Underground Rehabilitation and Treatment Centre of the Wieliczka Salt Mine 4.30 pm - Family competitions at Giant Saltshaker 5.00 pm - Loch Camelot Cabaret, “On the island of Krakow” - recital of Jaga Wrońska
